The Windsurf project began its initial phase of development back in 2012 with the team of lead engineer and designer Sam Dickinson and his assistant engineer David Forrest both employed and financed by Swift TG Energy Scotland Ltd.

Swift had invested £2.5M up to 2021 when they shelved the company to concentrate on their core business of aircraft development.

Roth Group Ltd offered to invest and restructure the project in 2022 and signed a purchase contract in 2023 establishing Roth Turbines Ltd with Swift Energy Ltd retaining an interest.

With further investment injected and an experienced management team led by David Morgan the business is poised to deploy turbines worldwide in the near future.

Roth identified the telecoms sector as a key area due to green energy commitment and is currently in talks with Europe’s largest mobile network providers.

The businesses registered office is in Harrogate with development at our engineering factory in Edinburgh.
